Les habitants d'Aubagne furent interviewés sur leur vision de l'avenir, et plus précisément, sur l'année 2084. Comme il n'existe aucune histoire de science fiction sur cette ville, le film intègre leurs réponses dans une réflexion théorique sur le besoin pour l'être humain de se créer un futur et des rêves.
Ce film tente de dévoiler ce que peut être le mirage du cinéma, tout en suivant le processus d'élaboration d'un documentaire.

In the context of a documentary project, the inhabitants of Aubagne were asked to share their visions of the future, more precisely, their visions and expectations of the year 2084. Seeing that no science-fiction stories exist in Aubagne or about Aubagne,
the film projects their answers in a theoretical reflection about the need of creating futures, dreams and implicitely, about the mirage of cinema, closely following and exposing the creation process of the documentary itself.
